After hundreds of international patients had their flights canceled due to the current geopolitical situation, one thing became immediately clear: care could not wait. Many of these patients were preparing to travel for treatments they had been waiting months—or even years—to receive. Postponing their treatment was simply not an option.
So we made a decision. If patients cannot come to SOZO, then SOZO will go to them.
This is how the International Patients Initiative was born—an effort designed to ensure that patients around the world can continue receiving the advanced neuromodulation treatments they depend on, regardless of travel limitations or disruptions.
Co-founded by Chief Neuromodulation Officer Petros Kattou, the SOZO Brain Center has gained international recognition for pioneering neuromodulation approaches and supporting patients living with complex neurological, chronic, and mental health conditions. With the launch of this initiative, SOZO is extending its mission beyond borders—bringing innovative neurological care directly to patients wherever they are in the world.

Partner Clinics Around the World
Many of our patients travel internationally to receive specialized treatment at SOZO in Cyprus. However, recent geopolitical developments and travel disruptions have made it challenging for some patients to visit us.
This approach allows patients to access the same expertise, protocols, and standards of care they would receive in Cyprus, in a location closer to them. Because Healthcare is not about location. Healthcare is about responsibility!
Through the International Patients Initiative, our medical teams, led by Petros Kattou, will be travelling to SOZO Partner clinics around the world such as Berlin, Vienna, Switzerland, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, The Bahamas, India, Malaysia, and Australia to treat patients sufferring from conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, ALS, dementia, Alzheimer’s and more.

What is the International Patients’ Journey
International Patients who wish to receive treatment at any of our partner clinics around the world, will have to fill out the Book Your Consultation form on our website. Our International Patient Management team will then contact them with the next steps, gather the necessary medical paperwork and arrange their appointment with our MDT team and Petros Kattou, while assisting with every step until the patients complete their treatment.
